Lori began taking photographs at an early age when her mom taught her how her to use an old Brownie film camera. She eventually became the family photographer and keeper of all of the old family photographs. Her photographic style and vision changed after a bout of Scarlet Fever, but no matter what she is shooting she always brings her unique perspective to her work.
She has shown her artwork internationally and won several art show awards. She loves meeting other artists and photographers and finding inspiration in new places she visits. In addition to portraits and art, Lori has done commercial photography for a number of clients, including Blink-182, Backside Bags, Flying Tiger Motorcycle, Good Citizen Skate Co, and many others.
Lori enjoys painting, crafting, and writing when she is away from her camera. She previously wrote articles for Digital Photography School and for local publications. She has published two books on photography and art and her images of skateboarders have appeared in several skateboarding magazines. Her artwork has even appeared on a few skatedecks! She collects vintage gas masks, vintage cameras, animal bones and vintage books. She also loves collecting art from local artists.
Her favorite photographers are Julia Margaret Cameron and Nikki Sixx (yes, the Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue.) and her favorite painter is Frida Kahlo.
